Es kommt darauf an. ScummVM ist ja nicht nur dazu da, um alte Spiele auf Windows-PCs zum Laufen zu bekommen, sondern funktioniert auch auf MAC und Linux, Android, iOS, Raspberry Pi, Playstation 3, Ouya, PSP...
Wer also einfach nur alte Spiele auf dem modernen PC spielen will, kann die in vielen Fällen auch noch so oder z.B. mit DOS-Box zum Laufen bekommen, für alle anderen ist ScummVM die beste Lösung.
Der zusätzliche Vorteil: Man kann nun die Spiele "entschlacken" (.exe-Dateien etc. entfernen), weil keine Installation mehr nötig ist. Wenn man sie dann in ein paar Jahren auf einem anderen Gerät spielen will, einfach die Dateien rüberkopieren und fertig.

Noch ist die Version 2.0 nicht offiziell da, die letzten Tests laufen noch.

sowie die Unterstützung von 23 weiteren Spielen.

Internetanschluss vielleicht nur für die Installation wegen Updats . Ich bin mir nicht sicher , aber ich hoffe , es hat nichts mit Steam zu tun . Wer eine Ahnung hat , bitte eine Erklärung ! . Ich möchte die Box kaufen aber ich will nicht , dass Steam wieder die Nase steckt .
