Detalion, the developers of Reah and Schizm, have told us that Schizm 2 will be a real-time 3D rendered 1st person adventure game. Detalion has licensed the LithTech Jupiter engine known from the FPS hit No One Lives Forever 2.

The original Schizm—released in North America by Dreamcatcher as Mysterious Journey—is a pre-rendered Myst-like adventure set in a sci-fi setting. Sci-fi author Terry Downling was responsible for Schizm's story and returns for the sequel. The official Terry Downling site writes:


“ [...] the sequel will be a science fiction, planetary adventure like its predecessor, but the new game will be set on a totally different world and will feature different characters to the previous game. ”
