Und noch was:I'll add another piece of info that has been said, but not officially
confirmed: Those who remain at Cyan are still trying to get funding.
I mention that because Rand, Tony, Mark D. and Mark D. (no, that's
not a typo are meeting with yet another publisher later today (I
initially typed "tomorrow" but then realized it's well after
midnight). It's a long shot, but "you never know..."
Any of you who are so inclined, feel free to pray for the meeting.
Any of you who are not so inclined, feel free to wish them luck.

Nuja, klingt noch alles bisschen wage, aber er scheint wohl noch nicht aufgeben zu wollen...All of you who prayed, wished, crossed fingers, crossed toes, crossed eyes, etc. - thank you.
The meetings went very well from Cyan's perspective. It's up to the publisher now. Usually, it's weeks or months waiting to hear back when you give one of these pitches. But they understand that time is of the essence and have said that they'll get back with Cyan sometime next week.
If you all don't mind continuing your prayers, wishes, and if your fingers, toes, eyes, arms, legs, etc. can handle being crossed a while longer...

Less than a month after releasing its employees Myst creator confirm it's work as usual...
Shortly after completing work on the last chapter in the legendary Myst series it became apparent that it would also be the last thing its creator, Cyan Worlds, would produce as details of the studio’s closure became apparent earlier in the month.
Today however comes news that the situation may not be as bleak as first thought. MercuryNews is reporting that Cyan Worlds have had an 11th hour acquit, claiming an e-mail from founder Rand Miller states:
"We've had a reprieve. Managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat (that I can't give details about yet), so we rehired almost everybody. Crazy industry. It's giving me whiplash!"
Those who cannot understand the popularity of such a ponderous series will likely groan, however the Myst series rightfully deserves its place in videogame lore and it’s good to see the team having another chance to show what it can do with Myst out of the way.
We’ll have more information soon.
