What many fans have demanded for a long time will finally come true: Sierra Entertainment, Inc., a studio of the Games division of Vivendi Universal Publishing, announces a fourth upcoming volume of the Gabriel Knight series. As Gabriel Knight II: The Beast Within is still one of the most selling adventure games of Sierra Inc., the company has decided to come in contract with Interscope Pictures, located in the south of L.A.,California and divison of Vivendi Universal, to produce movie shots with the help of blue or green screen technology. As Cast Dean Erickson will again be acting as the part of Gabriel: "I'm deeply honoured that Sierra has finally again decided to produce another adventure with the help of real actors. As I'm proclaming on my website, I'm still thinking that having actors as main identification for the player is a huge advantage for the whole genre. By that way, I want to thank all my loyal fans who have been with me through this hard time and supported my ego all the time as well. I'm back in business!" Beside the new full motion video technology, Sierra is developing a new system which will allow to interact with the characters in an interactive 3D environment, which will consists of mainly real mapped images taken from high resolution photo stills. Location will be shot on place in New Orleans, Germany, Austria and Italy. Jane Jensen, author of the fabuolus Gabriel Knight Mystery series, has already closed her final fourth story which title will be revealed later this summer.
