Ticketing
Our feedback surveys from 2017 showed us that our “turn up and queue” policy had a number of drawbacks. We turned away several people who had travelled a long way to attend, and that’s not something we want to do again. So this year, AdventureX will be a ticketed event, with tickets sold through the British Library.
It will still be free to exhibit games at AdventureX, and that’s very important to us.
Pricing
We hope that this pricing structure will reward loyal AdventureX attendees, while eliminating the element of risk associated with first-come-first-served.
British Library Box Office (available from August)
Adult Weekend Pass: £40
Adult Day Pass: £25

So, AdventureX 2018 ist vorbei.
Es war meine erste - hat Spaß gemacht.

In den folgenden Tagen meine Top 3 Adventures des Events, begonnen mit..

Platz 3: 'Future Flashback'

"Future Flashback is a Point and Click Adventure Game.
Behold a future where a drug is capable of recreating vivid memories. Untangle the obsessive mind of an ex-surgeon, that after an accident, starts reliving the memories of a girl he never met. He is seeing her past, looking into her dreams and unfolding the mysterious future they share together."


Für das erste Spiel des kleinen Teams sieht es bereits gut aus, klingt und spielt sich gut.
Plot ist interessant und macht Lust auf mehr.

Meine Top 3 Adventures des Events, weiter geht's mit..

Platz 2: 'The Procession to Calvary'

"..is a sequel to the critically acclaimed point-and-click Renaissance masterpiece, 'Four Last Things'. It's an adventure game made from Renaissance-era paintings and public domain recordings of classical music that strives to be intelligent and ridiculous in equal measure.

The Procession to Calvary will follow on from the events of Four Last Things, following the same protagonist as he returns from his brief sojourn in hell and continues his quest for absolution. This time the journey will take him out of the Northern Renaissance vision of Four Last Things and into the South, to a world built largely from Italian art (with some Hogarth thrown in for good measure).

It's kind of like if Monkey Island 2 had been made in 17th century Florence by a time travelling Terry Gilliam wannabe."


TPtC is bereits Joe Richardson's drittes Spiel nach 'The Preposterous Awesomeness of Everything' (2016) & 'Four Last Things' (2017).
Gespielt habe ich davon bisher noch keines. Das wird jetzt nachgeholt! Denn..

..Was. Habe. Ich. Gelacht! Tränen!
Das Spiel ist so unglaublig witzig!
Wer 'Monty Python' oder Paradigm witzig fand kommt hier nicht dran vorbei!

Meine Top 3 Adventures des Events. Fehlt nur noch..

Platz 1: 'Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure'

"A comedy cosmic horror adventure made in Transylvania."

"Detective Don R. Ketype is on the case to retrieve the mysterious evil tome, but unsuspecting librarian Buzz Kerwan stumbles upon it and accidentally transforms his cat, Kitteh, into a walking, talking abomination. Being humanized? Quite a downgrade."

"Cthulhu may yet rise, but for now the uncaring universe just makes a very cynical cat start talking.Travel from Darkham to Transylvania, control 3 protagonists, deal with strange cultists, ancient voodoo, and Cthulhu Himself."


Das Spiel hat es mir seit dem kickstarter angetan. Mittlerweile ist es so gut wie fertig. Es fehlen noch die letzten voices und solange wird noch gepolished. Es sieht so unglaublich gut aus, bietet butterweiche Animationen auf höchstem Niveau und verspricht klassischste Kost in modernstem Gewand!

Sollten Umfang, Geschichte und Rätsel überzeugen ist es für mich schon jetzt ein Anwärter auf das Spiel des Jahres 2019.

Make sure to order your tickets as soon as they're available, we anticipate them selling out very quickly (possibly within hours, like in 2019 and 2022)! There will be no second wave of tickets sold this year, all tickets for the event will be available on 7 August.
