Boooah, ich muss wieder Herr der Ringe gucken. Dabei such ich schon seit Jahren nach nem Zeitfenster um diese über 3 Stunden "The Fellowship" endlich mal wieder sehen zu können.
http://www.hawaiifilmandvideo.com/blog/Action! The director has landed! Stephen Spielberg arrived in a private jet yesterday Sunday, 7/8, to begin filming as early as Wednesday 7/11 on – code name - The Untitled Genre Project in “a deep heavy bush location” mauka of Hilo town. Spielberg and company are scouting today 7/9 and the actors will rehearse only tomorrow 7/10 before day one filming begins…
The Untitled Genre Project is the Indiana Jones IV sequel. Producer Frank Marshall confirmed as much in an interview last week with the New Haven Register saying that following filming in New Haven, Conn., the production moves to Hawaii then Los Angeles. Marshall also said Connecticut’s 30-percent business tax credit had a lot to do with the production filming in New Haven. The production spent between $8 million and $9 million in the New Haven area during the June 28 to July 7 filming, Marshall said…FYI: Harrison Ford - turns 65 on Friday the 13th…
The production has rented production equipment from Oahu including grip trucks, and hair-and-makeup and wardrobe trailers…Though Big Island filming for Indy IV originally was two weeks, it looks like another week has been added, sources said…The production has reserved 300 rooms in and around Hilo, including at the Hilo Hawaiian, Naniloa Volcanoes Resort and most smaller hotels…High end homes for the major actors and production executives have been very difficult to find on the Hilo side…Of the 300 cast, crew, executives and other workers on the Big Island for Indy IV only about 20 are local…
Indy IV’s unit publicist Deb Wuliger served the same job on Spielberg’s War of the World (2005)…
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I've had this rumor in the inbox for a little while (thanks to "Judas' Noose") and it’s starting to gain some momentum.
I've gotten a second source come to me with the same rumor. So, I thought I'd run something on it. It's a big, giant honking rumor, but a fascinating one.
I've been on the record supporting the idea of an INDIANA JONES 4 if it brings the films full circle. You have a great trilogy cap with that riding off into the sunset shot from LAST CRUSADE, so the only place to go in my mind is to make a movie that goes full circle back to RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. We know Marion Ravenwood is in it. We know she had a kid with Indy. We hear that John Hurt could be playing Abner Ravenwood, long lost father of Marion and mentor to Indy, thought dead in his pursuit of the Ark.
Seems like that's the direction they're going.
The rumors I have been getting say that the big object being searched for is not Atlantis. It is not the Spear of Destiny. It is not a shard of Noah's Ark. This time Indiana has to go back to square one. There is nothing he can possess that can not be taken away.
What I hear is that he is searching, once more, for the Ark of the Covenant.
The rumor is that the warehouse we see at the end of Raiders is in Groom Lake (aka Area 51) and the Russians are trying to find it in order to one-up the American military might.
That would explain Abner being involved in the story. That would further my theory that INDY 4 will act as a bookend to the series, RAIDERS on one side and INDY 4 on the other. If Shia LaBeouf ends up continuing it down the line as rumored, then so be it, but I think we're pretty much guaranteed this will be the last one with Lucas, Spielberg and Ford.
I love the idea, but from what I know of the film, from trusted sources within the company, there’s just not really any room for the Ark of the Covenant in the story they're telling. It’s not the main thrust of the movie if it is in the flick and I just can’t see it as being something they’d sideline.
So, I know this really doesn’t give you guys a definitive answer and probably just raises more questions, but this is what I know of the rumor right now and I’m sure it’ll be spreading, so I wanted to address it.
Hell, it could be that Lucas and Spielberg have us so turned around we don’t know which end is up and they’re off making a completely different movie than everybody’s expecting, feeding us a bunch of bogus rumors and all the set pics and stories have been fabricated. I wouldn’t put it past them.
If the Ark does play a part, I think it’s a fascinating choice. If it doesn’t, I’m happy seeing a new adventure, too. What are your thoughts?
Yep, das musste mal gesagt werden ! =D>DaGus hat geschrieben:@basti

There have been rumors flying left and right about the new Indiana Jones adventure from the title to the plot.
But what about it’s future? The IESB got some really interesting information today from very well respected Paramount studio source that we thought we would share.
Shia LaBeouf, a break out star this year with a few small films under his belt like Disturbia, Surf’s Up and Transformers, has signed a four picture deal as the archeologist’s offspring. That’s right, he has signed on for 3 more Indiana Jones movies after this one!
Does this mean Harrison Ford is done with this franchise after this film? Apparently not! He signed a three picture deal, his final stint as the whip wielding adventurer will be a trilogy. This means they better crank out these films pretty quickly before it becomes Indiana Jones and the Hunt for His Prune Juice. He is getting on in years after all.
How solid is this intel? Not to be cheesy, but solid as a rock!
Now, I know everyone is very anxious about the current production and you are saying to yourself, but guys, don’t you have any information on this one? As a matter of fact we do…not much, but it’s something (if you get that Star Wars quote then you are a geek).
The aliens are being referred to as “the gods.” We know Area 51 is making an appearance in the film so aliens must be abound, but in any case, the aliens are being referred to a “gods.” Hence, further indication that the working title of Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods could be accurate after all. There you go, your bone for the day.
Stay tuned for further updates from the IESB!
So will there be more Indy films? Better believe it regardless what MTV has to say! Plus description of a large Indy set and will there be an animated Indiana Jones TV series!?
Let me be quick about this, don’t believe anything that Lucasfilm tells you.
I just got an email from one of my readers who sent me a link to couple of sites that are claiming our reports are not accurate regarding the future of Indiana Jones.
MTV’s Movie Blog site is reporting that John Singh over at Lucasfilm has responded by saying the following: “That’s purely a rumor..idle chatter amongst Internet fans.” Another parasitic site, Slashfilm, has also taken MTV’s quote and is reporting the same thing. But Mr. Singh, is it really just internet chatter?
First let’s remember that MTV is owned by Viacom and is a sister company with Paramount, convenient.
But if my reports are just fan chatter, I invite our readers to call Lucasfilm and ask them the following questions. You can call Lucasfilm and ask for John Singh directly at this number: (hat der Depp wirklich geposted!).
Are there aliens in the film?
Are the aliens referred to as gods by the Russians?
Is Shia’s character Indy’s son?
Is Cate Blanchette’s character a villain?
John will tell you the same thing to every one of those questions, “those are just rumors.”
Even better, I am going to describe a large set of the film and you can ask John if the description is accurate. There is a large swirly-like rocky staircase that appears to be going down into the center of the earth. This will be one of the biggest sets constructed for Indy 4 if not the biggest. This large set will break apart and put our heroes at risk and will be part of the third act. Should I continue John?
Let’s not forget that the IESB were the ones who first reported and broke the news Star Wars would continue as two new TV series, one animated and one live action. We were also the first to report that Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith was going to be rated PG-13. Even Aintitcool pulled the same thing as MTV and said that we were wrong about the PG-13 rating (click here) until we were finally vindicated months later.
Final verdict? I am still sticking to my source and calling MTV’s news for what it is, spinning the news on behalf of its sister company Paramount. Here is another tidbit of news, Lucasfilm is thinking about an animated Indiana Jones TV series in the same vein as the Star Wars Clone Wars animated series.
Will continue to bring you more Indy news…I promise.
Advice for MTV and your movie blog, go back to music news, leave the movie news to someone else. And to Slashfilm, why don’t you try to write something original once in a while. When’s the last time you actually broke a story that wasn’t ripped off from somewhere else? Hmm, thought so.
See you at Comic-Con!!!
We’ve always had a great, special relationship with ILM and Lucasfilm and as a courtesy to Lucasfilm, Steven Spielberg, Paramount Studios and cast, we have decided that we will no longer to continue to report on story details or contractual obligations in regards to the Indiana Jones franchise or at least keep them to a bare minimum.
We apologize for any damage or harm we may have caused to the production and apologize to John Singh directly.
We understand that keeping the excitement and surprises under wraps for the fans is an important part of going to the movies.
My pleasure.Danke auf jeden Fall an Basti für eine Berichterstattung. Sehr spannend .
